Ato Dukale, the owner and founder of DWD was born in the region to local coffee farmers. Dukale’s interest in coffee beans led him to travel all around Ethiopia to learn all about the trade and to collect his first bags of coffee from the farmers in the Sidama region. He built his first processing station in the 1980’s.
Since then his business has flourished and DWD now operate 16 processing stations in the Sidama and Yirgacheffe regions. The company is still operated by Ato Dukale and his sons. Together they put all their energy into producing the highest quality coffee beans one can find in Ethiopia.
