Description

Matcha is a finely ground powder made of the Camelia Sinensis plant. There are three types (varietals) of
C. Sinensis trees approved for use to produce matcha: Samidori, Okumidori and Yabukita.

The C. Sinensis trees are grown in shade to maximize the chloroplasts that gives the leaves their green color, these little friends make sure that the plant can survive through the process of photosyntethis. The greener the leaves, the better quality of matcha tea is produced.

Every leaf is hand picked and then steamed to keep the deep & delicate green color. The producers of this matcha have perfected this process over generations, since the 1800’s.

In this blend which we call ”trefoil knot” you will find a mix of all three varietals mentioned above to ensure a strong yet delicate matcha that you can use in your daily drinks as well as in your cooking/baking.

1. Add 2g of Matcha to your bowl 2. Heat water to 70°C. 3. Add 20g of water to your matcha, & carefully stir the mix to a paste. 4. Add additional 20g of water & whisk in M-shappes vigorously. 5. Either add ca 250g of water or milk to the matcha 6. Enjoy a delicious matcha!
