The word Mauve, or in english Malva is derived from the Greek word ”malakos”, which translates to ”soft”. Malva has been considered a medicinal flower since ancient Egypt & can be found in many European mythological tales where its often described as an emollient. Even the Greek physician Hippocrate did supposedly use the flower as a remedy for bruises & inflammation. In England the flower was linked to Mayday/Beltane celebrations & spiritual healing (similar to the Swedish Valborg).
In this blend we have paired the soft Malva flower with Chinese green Gunpowder tea & blue cornflower petals from France.
