Description

Sencha stands for 80% of the entire tea production in Japan. These leaves have been carefully handpicked, steamed & dried to ensure its wonderful & deep umami flavor.

The process to make sencha was discovered in 1738 by Nagatani Soen. The leaves were first handpicked & then rolled & steamed at the same time, ensuring the perservation of the sweet & deep umami flavor of sencha. Nagatani’s house has been made into a museum & we recommend any tea lover to visit if one finds oneself in the area, Ujitawara town: Nagatani Soen Seik

1. Add 2g of tea to your filter. 2. Heat water to 75°C. 3. Add your filter to your cup or pot. 4. Add 200g of hot water & let it steep for 3 min. 6. Remove the filter & enjoy a delicious cup of tea!
